what's the plan
The baroque Old Town of Vilnius - the city of nine religions. During the tour I will introduce you to the magnificent old architecture, incursions by the Soviet Union and peculiar modernization of the modern day Republic. Religions are still very much alive here and we will walk around a lot of churches, including a functioning XIVth century monastery in the middle of the city, see how little some things have changed during the ages. You will learn about the coexistence of Lithuanians, Poles, Russians, Jews, Tartars, Germans and other traditional inhabitants of the city.

about your host
I am a historian, born in Vilnius, working as a full time tour guide. My main aim is to provide the tour guests with information on history, culture, local politics and everyday life through a mixture of both humor and serious stories. I try to be flexible, depending if the guests want a “lighter” version or something more specialized.
Some of the those who have enjoyed my tour were members of Aerosmith band, National Geographic reporters and members of the worldwide press, the President of Iceland, members of US Senate and many others. I treat everyone with the same respect and attention.
