what's the plan
You’ll start your Warsaw tour with a visit to the icon of Warsaw: the Palace of Culture and Science that was a gift of “Uncle” Stalin to the Polish nation. Back on the ground of Warsaw Downtown, you’ll see how locals run from one place to another.
We’ll then join the line of people waiting at a small bar window for something totally delicious: a warm doughnut filled with rose jam. There is only one place in Warsaw to get these, and we know where it is! Next, head along the Royal Route and visit the most prestigious street in Warsaw, Krakowskie Przedmiescie.
Hungry by now? We hope so! You can’t miss an opportunity to try local tapas such as pigs’ trotters in aspic, herring in oil and vinegar, sour barley soup or pork hock. And you must pair that with one of our Polish herbal bitters or tinctures!
From here, we’re close to entering the Old Town — but we want to show it to you from a better perspective. We’ll go up the Observatory Tower (ticket included in tour price), where you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of western Warsaw with The Royal Castle and the Old Town, as well as on the east side of the city across the Vistula River. It’s a view worth seeing, trust us!
It’s here that we’ll go to the last of our viewing points. See the Old Town Square and the symbol of Warsaw, the Mermaid. Visit the Museum of Warsaw that recently re-opened and head up to the highest floor of one of the Old Town tenement buildings – where the museum is located. (Note that your ticket is included in the tour price, but you have the option to trade your entrance ticket to the museum viewpoint for an alternate site, such as the tower of Trinity Church.)
Your Warsaw tour will finish here, but you’re welcome to stay longer in the Old Town.
meeting point
Corner of al. Jerozolimskie 65/79 and Emilii Plater Street (under the roof of Marriott Hotel, facing Warsaw Central Railway station building). Look for your guide with red sign: WARSAW URBAN ADVENTURES.

It might be windy and chilly up at the viewpoints. Please bring a windcheater (windbreaker) with you in summer months, and dress warmly in the winter.
Ending point: Old Town Square (a convenient spot if you want to spend more time in the historic part of Warsaw or, if you prefer to go back to your hotel, there is easy access to public transportation).

about your host
Hello my name is Karolina. Exploration and tourism are my professional and private passions. In everyday life I work as a tour guide, tour leader and product managers for different travel agencies, and I spend my free time wandering around and discovering remote places, meeting fascinating people, and experiencing new and unexpected. And everywhere I go I search for local tastes: strange food, local delicacies, unknown flavours. Warsaw always manages to surprise me — new places turn up, great events take place, surprising cards of its history are being revealed. It’s a crazy run to catch up with Warsaw and I’m loving it!
